Odell Beckham Jr. and the Rams have enjoyed a dynamic relationship for some time. Beckham is still a free agent and the Rams would still love an extra offensive piece to fall into their lap.
However, no agreement was reached. That said, while the Rams didn’t sign the wide receiver, they kept his locker open, according to Rams insider Jourdan Rodrigue. According to the insider, the nameplate remained in the same place even though he is not part of the team. A sea of fans reacted to the news of the unusual gesture. Here’s how she said it:
In response, one fan said the team was prepared to spare no expense except the wide receiver’s salary.
This Bears fan claims the wide receiver will soon have a new team, thanks to an unexpected wide receiver injury.
Odell Beckham Jr. in recent years
The Rams wide receiver has had some rocky seasons in recent years. In 2018, the wide receiver was a member of the New York Giants, effectively working as a face of the franchise. In 2022, he is a free agent and Super Bowl champion.
After five years with the New York Giants, Beckham and the team have decided to part ways. The wide receiver joined the AFC landing with the Cleveland Browns. He was traded to Cleveland for a first- and third-round pick with safety Jabril Peppers. Baker Mayfield was part of the team and things seemed to be changing, with Beckham seen by many as the icing on the cake.
Initially, he enjoyed success with his new team, gaining 1,035 yards and four touchdowns. However, things went downhill over the following season and a half. In 2020, he gained just 319 yards and three touchdowns. In 2021, he gained 232 yards and no touchdowns with the team in his six games of action.
Frustration boiled over when the wide receiver pushed for a midseason outing and joined the Los Angeles Rams. As a member of the team, the wide receiver was one of the catalysts pushing the team to the Super Bowl. However, his contributions to the team ended early in the Super Bowl when he tore his anterior cruciate ligament early in the big game.
The team still found a way to win the Super Bowl, but the wide receiver deal was up. Still recovering from his injury, the wide receiver is waiting for the right call. Will Los Angeles finally make a move or will another team catch the wide receiver?
