KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Sdn Bhd (MMHE) has signed a strategic agreement with Silverstream Technologies to facilitate Silverstream’s air lubrication system upgrade opportunities and unlock technical and business knowledge sharing.
He said MMHE would work with Silverstream Technologies to support owners and operators of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNGC) carriers in their decarbonization efforts by improving the efficiency of their ships towards compliance with the Energy Efficiency Index of existing vessels (EEXI) and the carbon intensity indicator (CII).
“As part of the agreement, the two companies will jointly promote the Silverstream system and other complementary products and services, and MMHE will become the approved installation provider of the air lubrication system,” it said. he said in a statement today.
In addition, MMHE said Silverstream will also provide technical and commercial support to help MMHE secure contracts, including providing initial estimates of efficiency savings and system design information on proposed installations. .
