Ayesha Chundrigar launches eco-friendly pet products made from ocean waste

Philanthropist and social entrepreneur, Ayesha Chundrigar launched a line of handmade, eco-friendly luxury pet products that won 1st place at the largest pet products trade show in Las Vegas, in America.

The first phase of the product line includes dog leashes and toys that have now been internationally recognized as award-winning products!

TRIO’s business model is to create a chain of sustainability and caring. Not only are the products made from recycled materials, but the supply chain also empowers impoverished communities, while 50% of proceeds will go to fund Pakistan’s largest animal rescue, the Ayesha Chundrigar Foundation (ACF).

Every leash and toy is made from 85% waste from our oceans. It is the fishing net that ends up trapping and killing marine life. These nets are made of plastic and do not break down. Approximately 250 grams of fish fillet is used in each product. Local fishermen are employed by TRIO to extract these fishing nets. The products are made by women from poor regions. Many of them are the main breadwinners.

In 2018, ACF won the WWF Green Innovation Challenge with this creation which turned out to be a great local and international success. The products made their first appearance at the Animal Care Expo in April 2022 in Orlando, Florida.

The award-winning products are now available for purchase in Pakistan and the United States through their website

Dog leashes and dog toys are also available for bulk orders for retail stores in all countries. All products can be customized according to the buyer.
